Together with the team I was in New York for fashion week to photograph the streetwear around the shows. We also had a videographer, Niels van den Top, who made some nice videos like the one below featuring me shooting streetwear.

For their new preppy line of clothing, Tommy Hilfiger asked us to take pictures for their new campaign. The pictures are streetstyle-inspired and are made in the European cities Paris, Milan, London, Stockholm, Knokke, Amsterdam, Hamburg and Madrid.
I did the pictures for Amsterdam, Milan, Paris and Stockholm, the other cities were done by other photographers of Team Peter Stigter. The pictures are used on the Tommy.com website and in other advertisements. Some pictures of the campaign below.

Bill Cunningham taking a picture of Jean-Paul Paula, Aynouk Tan and Sonny Groo outside Chanel.
Cunningham was way ahead of his time taking pictures of people on the street and his work still is a source of inspiration to many nowadays. Read more about him at New York Times: Bill on Bill.

The fashion week in Milan is just over and I’m heading to Paris right now. Mission: shoot more people in the streets and outside the fashion shows.
You can view a selection of my pictures from Milan at the streetwear section of the Team Peter Stigter weblog. Also, pictures from Paris will be posted there on a daily basis, including pictures of the fashion shows.
Some of the trends seen so far: lots and lots of short shorts and skirts, the “Margiela shoulder”, Ray-Ban sunglasses and the small(er) bags are back.
Next stop: Paris!
